Meet our Team

Dr. Levin's love of animals began in 1953 when his family moved into a suburb, blocks from the Detroit Zoo. He graduated from the University of Michigan in 1973 with a B.S. in Zoology. In 1977, Dr. Levin accomplished his life goal of becoming a veterinarian when he completed his DVM at Michigan State. In 1982 Dr. Levin moved to Laguna Beach, California with his wife Pam. He quickly became active in the coastal community.

Dr. and Mrs. Levin raised two daughters and son in Laguna Beach. All three children attended El Morro, Thurston and graduated from Laguna Beach High School. An active sports enthusiast, Dr. Levin, was a prominent figure in the community's sport scene. He coached all three children's AYSO soccer teams, as well as basketball for the Laguna Beach Boys and Girls club and NJB. Dr. Levin has also taken a strong interest in promoting animal care education in the Laguna Beach school system and has spent time volunteering in the classrooms at El Morro and Thurston. He is proud of the many young students he mentored over the years that have gone on to become veterinarian technicians and veterinarians. In addition, Dr. and Mrs. Levin have been avid supporters of SchoolPower for over 25 years.

2017 mark Dr. Levin's 36th year anniversary as owner and operator of Laguna Beach Animal Hospital. Dr. Levin has a special interest in helping others, both animals and people. He is a member of the AVMA,CVMA, SCVMA, and AAHA. Dr. Levin has worked with and supported the Laguna Beach Animal Shelter, Bluebell Foundation for Cats, and the Animal Crackers Pet Rescue. He has also been a long standing board member of Animal Urgent care facility, providing after hours veterinary care for Southern California

Dr. Levin has one golden retriever, Frankie. Dr. Levin can be seen often walking or riding his bike with his wife and dog through Heisler Park and North Laguna.

Dr. Rosencrantz graduated from Kansas State University in 2008. She then went on to complete an internship in small animal surgery and medicine at the ASPCA Bergh Memorial Animal Hospital in NYC. She has been working in Southern California ever since and is thrilled to be a part of the team at Laguna Beach Animal Hospital. Dr. Rosencrantz has a special interest in internal medicine and dermatology and is a member of the AVMA, CVMA, and SCVMA. She looks forward to getting to know your pet family through the stages of their lives. Dr. Rosencrantz has a dog named Forrest, and a cat named P.J. and can be seen down at the beach enjoying the views with her pup.

Dr. Hayter grew up in Tustin, California, and earned a Master’s degree in Fine Arts prior to becoming a veterinarian. He published poetry in several national publications before his love of animals led him to pursue his Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine at Auburn University where his interests included internal medicine, surgery, and exotic species.

Zavina has always loved animals and has worked in the animal care field since 2006. She has worked at Laguna Beach Animal Hospital since December 2019. She has a dog named Delilah and a cat named Bear. She enjoys spending time with her husband and two young children, visiting Disneyland and going to the beach.

Abel is a Registered Veterinary Technician at Laguna Beach Animal Hospital. He knew that he wanted to work in the veterinary field after volunteering at the San Bernardino Humane Society. He feels it is very satisfying to see a pet improve and lead a healthy, happy life. As an R.V.T., he works directly with pets giving them medical care including teeth cleanings, x-rays, bandaging and more. One of his greatest achievements is graduating from Cal Poly Pomona and being granted the Carl Becker award for his performance in the surgical procedures course. Currently, his furry family includes 3 dogs; Rusty a Chocolate Lab, Panda an Australian Shepherd, and Zoey a Husky. In his spare time, he enjoys working on his motorcycle and car. He also loves the outdoors, especially camping and hiking.

Daniel French started working at Laguna Beach Animal Hospital in November 2019. Prior to this he was an EMT but decided to transition into veterinary medicine because of his love of animals. He has 4 chickens, a parakeet, a beta fish, a frog, 2 cats and 2 dogs! He loves the ocean and anything that involves surfing or scuba diving. He also volunteers at Pacific Marine Mammal Center in Laguna Beach.

Daniel Guzman has been working with animals for about 3 years. He has been working at Laguna Beach Animal Hospital since March 2019 and is currently in school at Mt. San Antonio College studying to become a registered veterinary technician. He does not have any pets of his own yet but is hoping to adopt a black Labrador someday soon. He enjoys playing Call of Duty or Legend of Zelda in his free time and hopes to someday learn to play the violin or piano.

Fatima Barrera has been working with animals for 12 years and has been working at Laguna Beach Animal Hospital since August 2019. She has a rabbit names Speedy. She loves getting ice cream with her niece, visiting museums and going on roadtrips. She is also in school part-time.

Devyn Pueblos has been passionate about animals her whole life and started working in the animal care field in 2005. Her first and only jobs have been with veterinarian offices. She started working at Laguna Beach Animal Hospital in February 2020. She has 2 cats, Sonic and Jack. She enjoys spending time with her family, friends and cats. She also loves going to concerts and Disneyland.
